It doesn’t take much exposure to the bone-rattling effects of 30,000 Harleys to realize why Street Vibrations is such an aptly named event. The 6th largest motorcycle event in the nation, Street Vibrations is way more than a weeklong bar crawl for bikers – it’s a region-wide celebration of biker culture. Serious motorheads (and wannabes) will find plenty to do on two wheels and off with dozens of daily activities, including the America’s Finest custom bike display, jump and stunt shows, live music, motorcycle giveaways, a tattoo expo, Dyno Drags and hundreds of vendors selling gear and apparel that will set any biker’s heart racing. Street Vibrations events are held all over the area, including Sparks and Virginia City. Additionally, bikers can participate in poker runs to Lake Tahoe, poker walks, and ride-in shows, including the Ladies-Only and All-Harley events. And because bikers don’t stop when the sun goes down, neither do the events. Area casinos tailor entertainment to the two-wheeled crowd; with big name concerts and other events to keep things revved up after hours. Street Vibrations, in all its leather-clad, bandanna wearing glory, will roll into town September 23-27, 2009. |
