This 38 acre wildlife park is home to animals including cheetahs, black bears, tigers and wolves. Open April - October, Tues-Sun from 10am-4:30pm. Take 395 north to exit #78, turn right on Red Rock Road and drive 11.5 miles to Deerlodge and follow the signs. The Church Fine Arts building is home to the School of the Arts and celebrates its 21st anniversary during 2008. The CFA invites the community to visit free exhibitions and lectures in the Sheppard Fine Art, McNamara, Front door and exit art galleries. The Nevada repertory company performs in the Redfield Proscenium and Redfield Studio Theatres and each year the University of Nevada dance program brings guest choreographers and world-class dance performances to the CFA. The University of Nevada’s Nightingale Concert Hall presents classical music, jazz (including the Reno Jazz Festival each April), opera and the performing arts series. The National Automobile Museum is all about automobiles and more. The museum’s authentic walk-through street scenes and four galleries showcase over 220 antique, vintage, classic and special interest automobiles, demonstrating the impact automobiles have had on our society. Designed by architect Will Bruder, the Donald W. Reynolds center for the visual arts became the new facility for the Nevada
Museum of Art in May of 2003. With its torqued exterior wall, suspended atrium staircase and views of Reno’s skyline, as well as the Sierra Nevada mountain range, the building is recognized as one of the most distinguished architectural achievements in Nevada. The NMA’s feature exhibitions showcase national and international artists while the permanent collection of twentieth and twenty-first century art is divided into five focus collections linked by an overall emphasis on land and environment. Pyramid Lake is the largest remnant of ancient lake Lahontan. It is the only place on Earth that the prehistoric cui-ui (qwee-wee) fish is found. Pyramid Lake is known for its record cutthroat trout caught in 1922 at 41 lbs. It is one of the best trout fishing areas in northern Nevada. Pyramid Lake allows overnight camping, boating, personal watercraft, fishing, swimming, picnicking and hiking with the purchase of tribal permits.

The park has an enchanting variety of facilities including  the Wilbur D. May Museum where exotic artifacts from around the world are on display, a public garden and Great Basin Adventure family park. The park also features miles of trails and trail head access to Peavine Mountain. There are many discoveries to be made throughout the park and wetlands area, along with a number of group picnic and other reservable facilities.
